I, too, had a similar experience recently. The company I work for relies on Opera for our main browser (IE hangs between 5-10 MINUTES just to load a single page, tech support doesn't know why and they refuse to try to fix it). One of the vendors we use relies on javascript for navigation and "secure" logon ... however their code specifically excludes Opera users (with the window.opera object). When I spoke to their tech support people I received much the same answer "... not cost effective to code for non-IE browsers" despite the fact that they have specifically coded AGAINST non-IE browsers (strangely enough, their site worked fine until a week ago). So now I'm forced to use IE (the entire transaction now taking 60+ minutes rather than 5) and as soon as I find another vendor we'll see how cost effective their stance is. :-) Nathan
