I'm slightly concerned about copywrite issues with doing mockups such as
this. I made a XHTML mockup of Yahoo a while ago (and sent it to the
person that requested it on this list), but never put it online.

It uses slightly more structured markup than Kevin's page (and uses
absolutely no tables), and does some other things like the little
slanted images on the right box headers.

Do you think I would be in danger of the wrath of Yahoo if I put this
online though? I've also done a tableless mockup of the BBC's homepage,
if anyone is interested.

There was a bit of a discussion on this on W3C Evangalist a few days
back (Eric Meyer reworked a site that fails so miserably in Gecko you
wouldn't believe it).  He was going to make his reworks freely available
to the site owners (if they wanted it).  I think it was generally agreed
that there's probably a risk as you've taken their site without their
permission.

Dunno - Yahoo are a big company and you have effectivly stolen their
logo + graphics.  Maybe the easiest thing would be to put an onload
alertbox into the page so that the first thing the user really sees is
that.  I Am Not A Lawyer (love that acronym!) but that might be the
safest way to go.
