[MACCAWS] CSS books - more

Yahoo and BTinbternet between them are conspiring to see that I get mail 
about 6 hours late, so I'm reading from the mailing list site at Yahhoo.

I checked with Waterstones (the biggest bookseller in the UK, I believe) 
about CSS books - especially Eric Meyer's CSS2 Programmers reference. They 
listed three copies. Two of those were in Edinburgh. And they told me it 
was not a high movement item and a specialist book.

To me the problem is getting more obvious - the books available do not 
peddle standards, they peddle shortcuts.

How are we going to get over this one? What are the publishers doing? Why 
are they not promoting standards?
