I last used Poly three years ago under BSD, without any problems. I'm now
trying to get a polymix 4 load running using Solaris 8 machines, using

First problem, aka doesn't work, returning:

./aka hme0 10.0.0.2-254
lo0: reseting aliases to 10.0.0.1-254
lo0: primary address is 127.0.0.1
NetIface.cc:60: (s22) Invalid argument

(hme0 is 10.0.0.1)

So, used ifconfig addif to pre-propulate aliases.

Now, with polymix-4.pg set as follows:

       server_side = {
/*              addr_space = [ 'lo0::10.0.0.1-254:80/16' ];*/
                hosts = [ '10.0.0.1' ]; // replace with IPs of your PCs
        };

I run:

./bin/polysrv --config my-polymix-4.pg --fake_hosts 10.0.0.1-254

And get the same error:

NetIface.cc:60: (s22) Invalid argument

This section of code seem to be making sure that the primary interface
(hme0 in this case) is not used in the array of aliases that Poly will use.

Any ideas anyone?
