I tried to use the Change Password module to change a LDAP user's password and it did not work. I have two questions related to this problem. 1.) I limited which modules the Webmin user could access. The Change Password module was accessible but the LDAP server module was not. Pretty much most modules are off limits to the admin with the Webmin access. Does limiting access to other modules prevent the Change Password module from changing the LDAP user's password in the LDAP database? 2.) Is it possible to create a custom command instead of allowing Webmin to work directly on the system data. For example, from the Change Password module the /*user*/ and /*newpassword*/ are provided. If it were possible to create a custom command ala: ldappasswd -D cn=Manager,dc=example,dc=com -y /etc/openldap/secret -s /*newpassword*/ uid=/*user*/,ou=People,dc=example,dc=com where the /*newpassword*/ and /*user*/ as found from the forms then this custom command would do the trick I need. Can a "Command to change password" be constructed in the box such that the form data is used or equivalently are there variables available for /*newpassword*/ and /*user*/ found from the forms? Thanks for your suggestions. -- Paul ([email protected]) Cell: (303)257-5208 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What NetFlow Analyzer can do for you?
