[webmin-l] virtualmin letsencrypt doesn't work with firewall enabled?

I havea strange issue here:

root@domain:/opt/letsencrypt# ./letsencrypt-auto
WARNING: unable to check for updates.

and later with the actuall certificate requests I get some strange errors.

this happens only if shorewall is enabled. the firewall configuration is
quite default, 80,443 etc open in both directions and some ports you need
for all sorts of stuff. if I disable the firwall, everything works fine.

what ports does letsencrypt use beside those?!
