Actually, I did find a case in which this could happen if IPv6 is disabled, but somehow Webmin receives a connection on a v6 address.Try applying this patch and see if it helps : https://github.com/webmin/webmin/commit/ce0da729ee963a4eb8dcbb565e5c973a2770b74f On 18/Jan/2017 15:11 Jamie Cameron <[email protected]> wrote .. That is a very unusual error, since getaddrinfo is a core Perl function.Did you perhaps upgrade Perl at around the same time? Still struggling to resolve this peculiar error: Starting Webmin server in /usr/libexec/webmin Undefined subroutine &miniserv::getaddrinfo called at /usr/libexec/webmin/miniserv.pl line 2942, <USERS> line 3. We noted it after an upgrade, but it persisted even after rolling back to the previous version — which had been working until that time. My original post from Jan 7th: OS/distro: On some CentOS 6.8 and CentOS 7.2.1511 Running Webmin Version: 1.820 Target Webmin Version: 1.831 Issue: Upgrade Webmin Now action completes, but webmin fails to start with error: Error: Starting Webmin server in /usr/libexec/webmin Undefined subroutine &miniserv::getaddrinfo called at /usr/libexec/webmin /miniserv.pl line 2946, <USERS> line 2. Notes: I tested by uninstalling the 1.820 version of webmin, before installing and the error persisted. Note: of 4 boxes we attempted to upda te, we saw the error on 2 hosts — one CentOS 6.8 and one CentOS 7.2.1511 — we also had successful updates on two hosts — one CentOS 6.8 and one CentOS 7.2.1511 Any thoughts would be welcome! -- Rohn J.
