Thats why you need to save into those files your rules.

iptables-save > /etc/iptables/rules.v4

ip6tables-save > /etc/iptables/rules.v6

But maybe need to refresh your knowledge and read about nftables

Iptables is replaced by nftables, but you can use it his commands
