Hi there, I'm from Conectiva, now merged with Mandrake as Mandriva. We starting using webmin in Conectiva Linux 10 (launched in 2004) and we developed some good scripts to deal with webmin translations. Basically we convert webmin files to po and vice-versa, with all its advantages (existing tools for translation and merging). We were able to update webmin translation from an old version to 1.220, with no pain, and reusing a lot of strings, making the Mandriva 2006 webmin almost 100% complete for Brazilian Portuguese. I've googled today about this, finding this list, the call for quality and noticed po-webmin from skolelinux. What's the status of po use for webmin translation? Personaly, I think webmin should change its tanslation framework to gettext. If this is not possible, we should really push use of this intermediate tools. I propose to merge our scripts with skolelinux ones. What do you think? Wanderlei Antonio Cavassin Mandriva
