That's correct. SpawnOfWotaskd.sh is the script used to launch application instances. Attaching via gdb likely won't help you - "bt" (or "t a a bt") will only give you the native stacks, which are probably not helpful. Even "call (void)pss()" (which generates the same output as "kill -QUIT") dumps it's output to the same place "kill -QUIT" would have (in this case, yes, it defaults to /dev/null - my bad).
