OK, I fixed it.  I went back and reviewed this thread from the time I  
first started it and there was  a link to an omni archive on  
wodeveloper.com and I went and read the whole thread there again and  
the answer was in that thread.

Not only did I need a new apache adaptor and a restart of the apache, I  
needed to purge the old wo adaptor state file as well...
