Hi Robert,
I long ago tired of playing this game with EOF. Go here:
http://www.apress.com/book/bookDisplay.html?bID=248
Get the source code for our book (see sig). Extract the file
EOFJDBCConnectionAnalyzer.java and add it to your application.
Create an instance in your Application constructor like this:
new EOFJDBCConnectionAnalyzer("modelName");
It won't fix the problem but it can determine the cause of the vast
majority of them and suggest solutions.
