Running Particular Applications As A Particular User

Greetings,

 I have seen the discussions on how to run wotaskd as non-root,
but is there a way to run individual applications as a differnet
user? We have a Linux environment that is going to run several
different W.O. 5.2.3 applications, and we would like to run
each one as a different user, regardless if wotaskd runs as
root or not. How is this done?
