No log output when starting through Monitor

Hi all,

I'm encountering a strange problem with my applications not  
generating any log output
apart from exceptions when starting an application through the  
monitor. Its almost like
the stdout channel is not logged. When using the terminal to bring  
them up, they log
perfectly normal.

I'm on Suse Linux 9.2, WO 5.4.
