Hello Matteo, Sorry for the lacks of details, but usually I don't want to get people = afraid of my post :) So, I have kept in mind what you said about versions about JRE and = Apache. I give you the main part of the mail I received: -------------------------------------------------------- I have some problems in during installation WebObject deployment on = Linux.=20 I some times ago addressed on a site of developers of the given appendix = and sent some times the message concerning my problem but without any = result.=20 I think that it because my e-mail is not in mail-list If you a member of = mail-list of developers WO please help me. I install WO 5.2. deployment on Suse Linux 9.0 use HOW-TO from http://www.tetlabors.de/wo/setup_webobjects_on_linux.html I install it success but when try to compile adaptor =20 http://www.tetlabors.de/wo/setup_webobjects_on_linux.html#compile_adaptor= it says me tut:/opt/Apple/Developer/Examples/WebObjects/Source/Adaptors # make = clean; make make.config:62: *** missing separator. Stop. make.config:62: *** missing separator. Stop. I try to correct with http://www.tetlabors.de/wo/setup_webobjects_on_linux.html#troubleshooting= add character TAB and it did't help for resolve this problem please tell me the solution of this problem -------------------------------------------------------------------- PS : are in your country WO very used ? Best Regards, Matthias -----Message d'origine----- De=A0: [email protected] = [mailto:[email protected]] De la part de Matteo = Centro Envoy=E9=A0: jeudi 15 d=E9cembre 2005 16:09 =C0=A0: LEGIN.Matthias Cc=A0: [email protected] Objet=A0: [SPAM:] - Re: Install WO on Linux - Found word(s) remove = friend get list some That in the Text body. Matthias, you didn't provide us with much detail... I'll try from the top of my =20 head... A few problems in installing WO 5.2 on Linux using Solaris "binaries": You should definitely use a 1.4.2 JRE from Sun and remove everything =20 that's pre-installed. RedHat distributions by default do not have compress utility =20 installed, so the install script will fail. There is no gnutar by default on RedHat, just make a link to tar. It's not easy to compile WO Adaptor for Apache 2.0, if you use Apache =20 1.3.33 it will be much easier! We have lots of Linux deployments and everything is working perfectly! Please be more explicit with the problem and I'll try to do my best =20 to help you! Matteo Matteo Centro altera e-business solutions http://www.altera.it via S.
