Re: too many open files / WO 5.2.2 Panther 10.3.2

The real problem is that this is a symptom not a cause. It may be 
caused by many things.

I agree that in your case this is probably application linked, but on 
10.3.2 and WO 5.2.2 I believe there is some system/WebObjects one as 
well. It is hard to separate the two but I think this is a multi 
layered problem. There is some definite change of behavior between 
10.2.8/5.2.1 and 10.3.2/5.2.2: Things that were working do not work any 
more. What I have not been able to figure out and Apple has not been 
very helpful is wether this was working but should not have to or 
wether Apple broke something that was supposed to be working. Hence my 
fishing expedition on the inter-relation between development and 
deployment network. I had a bad experience on 4.5 where the intermix 
was lethal but WO 5 has been more tolerant. May be it was working by 
accident and it has now returned to its "official" behavior. The thing 
is that we have not much information to go by.
