Error When Loading Dynamic Adaptor & Apache

Greetings,

  I'm having difficulty getting mod_WebObjects.so to load in Apache.
When I fire up Apache I get the following error:
Cannot load /usr/local/www/libexec/mod_WebObjects.so into server:
ld.so.1: /usr/local/www/bin/httpd:
fatal: relocation error: file /usr/local/www/libexec/mod_WebObjects.so:
symbol ap_document_root: referenced symbol not found

  I get this error with the pre compiled and newly compiled version of
the adapter.
Here are the pertinent details:

OS: Solaris 2.8
Apache: 1.3.29
WebObjects: 5.2.2
make: GNU Make version 3.79.1

  The LD_LIBRARY_PATH is correct.  The Makefile and make.config file is
right. The "make" goes without a hitch, no errors no complaints, not 
even a whimper.

  Apache comes up fine without this module.
  Could someone provide me with some insight to what I'm doing wrong?
