Unless you are doing a non-standard Solaris 5.2 install, wouldn't the
5.3 Solaris install be different? For 5.2 you would just use the
normal Solaris installer, but with 5.3 there is no Solaris installer.
I assume with FreeBSD you just used the Solaris shell script installer
and modified it to work on FreeBSD, or did you just copy all the bits
from a good Solaris install to the FreeBSD machine(s), or did you
write your own FreeBSD installer script?

Windows has the additional baggage that unless you install Cygwin or
equivalent, a nice shell script won't work on it. I don't see how it
would be too hard (maybe tedious) to take a good 5.2 Windows install
and just update all the parts to 5.3, it just needs to be done,
documented, and tested.

Hopefully someone who has done that can document it, or I'll document
it once/if I get around to doing it.
