Hi

As far as I am concerned, it should work under application running mode. EOModel will not support this connector version. Write a small test program from MySQL website.

Cheers

  Hi,

As suggested by you I have tried WO5.2.4/ Connector-J v3.1.13 / MYSQL v5 combination but getting the error saying org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver not found.

I made changes in the classpath also.

Please tell me what to do?

  Regards,

  Ashutosh Sharma

Maybe my previous email with regards to this matter on 11th October 2006 could be helpful.

A couple of tests have been performed to find out the best combination (I think) of WO/Connector-J/MySQL. The following are the extract of the contents that could be helpful if you are using WO/MySQL on Windows. It looks like you will need to switch to Connector-J V3.1.13, and problem shall be resolved.

Reason? Refer to the doc in the url of MySQL attached below.

  Cheers

Subject: Problem in mysql connection with EOModeler

    Hi,

I am working on webobjects 5.2 windows version and trying to connect the mysql database with EOModeler.

I am using MySql 5.0 and mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin.jar in order to connect it to EOModeler and MySql DB.

I have done all the changes in java.plist file and also copied this jar file in the apple/library/java directory.

But while trying to connect it prompts a message saying "Communication failure during handshake: Is there a server running on localhost: 3306"

Is it a driver problem or what?

Do anyone have idea about this. How to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Ashutosh Sharma
