"internalInfo" key in EOModel .plist files?

What the heck is that "internalInfo" key that you find in EOModel .plist 
files?

I am currently having all sorts of bizarre trouble with EOF, that I think 
is related somehow to a corrupted .eomodel.  So I'm looking through all my 
.index and .plist files with a text editor, out of desperation.

I find all these weird "internalInfo" keys that often seem to have outdated 
information in them. I am deleting them all, which doesn't seem to be 
causing any problems, but also doesn't seem to be fixing my problem. yet.

But... what's up with this crap?  Is "internalInfo" anything but trouble? 
Does anyone know anything about what this is doing here?
