But how did you get "theClient" in the first place? did you fetch it from a db? or, you simply allocate it? if the first, then, while the array theClient.logEntries is not used it is an instance of EOFault but, as soon it is neaded, it is fetched for the db... in such a fetch, the datasource will use the fetchSpecification from the relationship AND the auxiliaryQualifier from you. Try it!!!
