FrontBase vs. MySQL performance comparisons?

Hi, We have a WebObjects application that we'd like to eek some more performance out of, so we're considering alternate choices for our database server. I've always been a big proponent of FrontBase and have used it on all my projects. However, in the interest of increased performance, I was considering giving MySQL a try. Does anyone already have any experience comparing the performance of their WO applications running in FrontBase vs. MySQL? Are there any other non-performance related issues that one should be concerned about if switching from FrontBase to MySQL? Perhaps if someone has a feature/ performance comparison chart or similar document they would like to share with the community, that would be awesome.
