Sure.  Original poster wasn't asking about speed of development, I  
think.  I covered all that with a very brief:

"yes, Java is more annoying to program than ObjC"

With a small sized team of people relatively new to WebObjects (all  
0-2 years), I didn't change my estimates when shifting to Java, and I  
think they worked out ok.  With a more experienced team, that might  
have been a different story; more experienced developers have always  
had a factor of 2 or more improvement over those with 1-2 years  
experience.
