Hi there
Well, I could figure out the issue. Problem was with the registry entries of previous installation:
Even though I uninstalled previous WO installation before migrating to WO 5.2, there were couple of LEGACY registry entries that were required to be deleted. To be precise, following registry keys must be removed before one start's with new installation.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_APPLE_MACH_DAEMON
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Enum\Root\LEGACY_APPLE_MACH_DAEMON
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_APPLE_MACH_DAEMON
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WOTASKD5
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WOTASKD5
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WOTASKD5
Note that you just can't delete this LEGACY keys from regedit. If you have WinNT 4.0 or WIN2K OS then you need to delete this entries using REGEDT32.
i.e.
Start > Run > REGEDT32
This will open you a editor. Here you need to delete these keys by setting delete permissions.
Hope, this helps people struggling with the same issue.
regards
mahima
