WebObjects Developer Position

Background
Site 9 is a startup Internet Software Product company.  Site 9’s 
Java-based web application software will be deployed in on multiple 
platforms, including Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.  The software will 
support a wide variety of Web Based applications and functionality.  
Site 9 is looking for Java programmers interested in working in a 
challenging start-up environment.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Participates in software development planning, implementation and 
testing in a team environment. Prepares requirements documents, 
external and internal software specification documents.  Writes code to 
implement software specifications.  Supports systems administrator, web 
designers, QA and documentation personnel. Presents, discusses, 
reviews, revises materials as necessary in consultation with team 
members.

Professional Experience
Senior: 5 or more years as programmer within web design/development team

Education
College Degree required.

Skills and Expertise
Strong experience with object-oriented programming, web application 
development (J2EE and/or WebObjects) as well as strong SQL skills and 
excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Competencies
Senior: Participates/Leads software design, architectural planning and 
data modeling.  Ensures consistency of design and functionality between 
disparate development teams. Determines task priorities with little or 
no guidance.  Assigns and supervises tasks performed by entry level 
developers.  Prioritizes and assigns tasks to development team members. 
  Tracks project progress against schedules.  Collaborates with team.  
Communicates effectively.
