Hi,

I just found this cool Google Maps mashup that finds hotels with
availability in a specified city:

ok, the link was on the Digg homepage, so I didn't have to look that
hard :-)

http://hotels.mapchannels.com/Search.aspx

You might also want to check out http://www.betterbidding.com and http://www.priceline.com
  and http://www.hotwire.com

I got a couple of good hotels at decent prices (around $125 / night)
for WWDC 2008. I had to split my hotel bookings, but that's ok. At
least I have somewhere to stay. My regular stay location (Parc 55) was
completely booked. It would have been really nice to be able to stay
there again as that is where WOWODC will be this year. Oh well.

Also, if you search Hotwire.com for June 10 - June 14, 2008 in San
Francisco, you'll see a 4.5 star hotel for $126 / night. I got that
one and it's actually the Intercontinental Hotel on Howard Street. On
the same street as Moscone! It's a brand new hotel. Their regular
price is over $500 / night I think.

Anyway, just a few tips for ya for your WWDC '08 trip.

See ya there!
