Well, you need to be a bit more specific in order to make us able to  
help you.

A few basic things. You need to have the latest XCode Developer Tools  
installed before installing WO. The tools can be downloaded for free  
from the ADC website. XCode have replaced Project Builder as the main  
app for handling each WO-project, writing the Java code and compiling  
and running the apps in developer mode.

You do not need Mac OS X Server do development.

Have a look at this document but keep in mind to replace ProjectBuilder  
with XCode:

In order to connect to some SQL-database other than OpenBase (which is  
included in the install) you will need to put the appropriate  
JDBC-driver in /Library/Java/Extensions.

Also, consider buying a few of the books that are available about WO.
