Database problems

Hello ,
I'm starting with wo and doing some of the tutorials on the
adc , but when I get to the database examples and try to
run them I always get the following error when it tries to
lookup or access the datbase:
Application: test5
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException
Reason: _obtainOpenChannel --
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext@1b3f829: failed to open
database channel. Check your connection dictionary, and ensure your
database is correctly configured.
I'm not real sure where to look for this.. any help
would be appreciated.
