webobjects for dummys ?

hello all,

first i wish anybody a happy new year.

i tryed to install a simple webobjects bullentin board on my local mac osx machine
a while ago without success . Now i would give it a second try.

I have x code 2.21 and the latest webobjects installed on my machine.

My  goal is a simple webpage with a log-in , where users can set up
a simple profile page. Are there any templates to use for this ?

could someone guide me true a webobjects setup , without
buying a book?
