Hi Ray,

to ease the pain of doing layout without tables, you can try css grid
frameworks like "bootstrap" (http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/)
Now for intense ajax stuff with dozens of AUC, I would not use Wonder and
use pure JS stuff.
