ERXExtensions initialization changes in 5.8.2 ?

I just did wholesale substitution of the Wonder 5.8.2 Frameworks folder,
for a build from the beginning of May, and am getting the dreaded message:

"ERXExtensions have not been initialized. Please report the rest of the
bundles to the Wonder mailing list:

Remaining frameworks: []"


The first three WOLips console line for the May frameworks are


- [-STATIC-] .. Application

- [-STATIC-] .. Application - SET UP NOTIFICATION OBSERVERS

[... EST] <main> Initialized : er.extensions.ERXExtensions

[... EST] <main> Couldn't load properties file:
/Users/gavin/WebObjects.properties at path: /Users/gavin


and for today's frameworks:

- [-STATIC-] .. Application

- [-STATIC-] .. Application - SET UP NOTIFICATION OBSERVERS

[... EST] <main> Couldn't load properties file:
/Users/gavin/WebObjects.properties at path: /Users/gavin

Clearly, and obviously, something's changed, and I'm not particularly
surprised, though I would like to have got further into my app before it
happened!

I'm prepared to go a-hunting, but thought it wise to drop a quick note here
first, in case someone point me a known issue that I've missed over the
months?
