Allowing access in D2W apps?

hi, I am trying to access a non-D2W page from the main (login) page of a D2W app (ERModernLook) by means of a DirectAction. I receive an "access denied" page. The action is not even called. Is there a kind of basis access control implemented in D2W apps? Otherwise what could cause this blocking?
