FWIW - I'm also a /Developer/Applications fan. I'm the only user on my machines, so I don't use ~/Applications at all. Office and Photoshop aren't really dev apps, so they logically belong in /Applications. Conversely, Xcode and Eclipse aren't really general purpose apps, so they go in /Developer/Applications. My WO53, WO54 environments are in /Developer/WebObjects/ :Steve -- Stephen R.
