I would probably customize the installer and remove the launchd items...they should be fine but we're moving them to wonder instead of Apple originals (near future).

The installer will drop into ~/Applications (per Mike's suggestion - and to avoid permissions crap he was talking about).

Let me know if you find anything...odd.
So far, I haven't.
