wget2-wget: bug or feature?

Praise the Lord!
Dear Development Team,

3 days ago I just upgraded my Fedora from 39 to 40.
there is no option to use wget just wget2.

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but I can't use it as I used to
in the last 10 years...: can't download files, and because of the threads I
can't see the real progress...
(possible: because of the redirects?)
