It would be nice to have some functionality in awki as well. One of
the nice things about it that you can run it under the tiniest httpd's
with support for cgi. They may not have very fancy (run-time) access
control systems.

OTOH, it is of course featurism that makes awki larger and more complex.

Either way, I'd say it's best to not rely on daemon features if at all
possible. Apache is quite the colossus after all.
