you should get openssl-0.9.7a, there have been exploits postred about
all the earlier ones. some of them academic, but it's a risk.

no.  note that your machine would have to at least ACK the connection
within a few seconds for my TCP-stack to let it through.  i have stray
TCP connections that resulted from earlier attempts showing up in the
firewall logs.  the one to your machine was established, but the
counter (on the dynamic rule used to create the hole) decreased to
zero without any traffic renewing it.

it's no DNS issue, or else my machine wouldn't have found yours, but
it could be your firewall or NAT.
