Hi I'd like to add a few things to awki, but would like to discuss how this could best be implemented: * deletion of pages AFAIK the original wiki deletes pages if you place "delete" as the only text in them. Is this the way to go? Other suggestions? * renaming of pages I guess there should be a "Rename Page" link in the navigation. But should we handle potential referring pages? If so, how? Traversing all pages and substituting OldName with NewName? * association of an IP with a WikiName It would be nice to have something more meaningful in PageHistory than simply IP addresses. What would be a good way to handle this? Cookies? A simple way would be to specify the associations in the config, but that would only make sense with a known, small group of contributers... * edit lock A simple way would be to touch a file with the PageName in data/lockfiles when edit is called and remove it again when the page is saved. If the visitor aborts the edit (doesn't save) the lock would still be on, but a lock_time could be set from the config file and after this time the lock is released (checked and potentionally removed by edit). Do you see any problems with that approach? A better way? BTW: I'm not sure how many people already visited the wiki I set up (I'm not even sure how many people read this list), but I would appreciate any feedback on the modified version of awki. Besides adding some features, I even fixed a few bugs (for instance RCS showed up in the PageList), and I think the modified awki is quite ready for use... -- peace, love & harmony Atte http://www.atte.dk ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
