I'm sorry if the voting thing was a bad idea... it wasn't meant to be
disapproving. Maybe I was overdefensive of the wiki I learned to love
:)

When I look to your awkiawki site, all the implemented changes look
good... the pagehistory thing is especially nice...

Some thoughts about the changes you plan to do:

I think this could be counterproductive, because evil people could
easily mess up things a lot then. I like how your system is now, it's
so easy to roll back changes with this PageHistory thing. But with
simple rename/delete possibility, one would have to go back to global
backups again.

About this one, I simply haven't felt any need for an edit lock as my
wikis are kind of low-traffic. And it's hard to see that one approach
is better then the other... blocking people out isnt a nice thing
either. Anyway if it's an option I'm ok with that :)

Problem is that a lot of peoples IP addresses change a lot.

I also have some other idea for a new feature - a spam filter. It
would prevent people from adding more than, say, 20 web links at a
time... Right now I prevent spam by blocking certain IP ranges, but
this could be more general and nice. (i just couldn't figure out how
to do it without writing temporary files, so i dropped the idea)
