What you *can* do is explicitly set the 'float' property to what you
know to be the CSS default:

    float: none;

(Note that "inherit" is sometimes useful for "un-doing" some style
information on an element, but that causes the property in question to
take on the same value as that property of the element's parent.  It's
not always what you want (especially in the case of rules which modify
the overall box formatting, like "float").)
