Hello,

i switched to perl-5.8.0 to use the most recommended perl and to have
mod_perl2 working out of the port-box.

The wml-port was broken then. I changed 2.0.8 by 2.0.9 removed distinfo
and tried. But the build did not work.

I extracted the port, went to the working directory and typed
./configure
make
make install

this worked, the canonical way did not (see error message in next
paragraph).

configure: configuring in wml_backend/p3_eperl
configure: running /bin/sh './configure' --prefix=/usr/local
'--with-perl=/usr/bin/perl5.8.0' '--prefix=/usr/local'

'host_alias=i386-portbld-freebsd4.9'
'build_alias=i386-portbld-freebsd4.9'
'target_alias=i386-portbld-freebsd4.9' 'CC=cc'
--with-tidy=/usr/ports/www/wml/work/wml-2.0.9/wml_aux/tidy/tidy
--cache-file=/dev/null --srcdir=.
configure: warning: CFLAGS=-O -pipe -march=pentiumpro: invalid host type
configure: error: can only configure for one host and one target at a
time
configure: error: /bin/sh './configure' failed for wml_backend/p3_eperl
===>  Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.

it would be nice to have a working port ... Should i try a snapshot?
