Hi!

You probably haven't heard a lot of me during the last few years, but
although I hadn't any (active) WML projects during that time (I
currently work as a software developer at ECOS, which is the Embperl
forge, so there we use Embperl for nearly all the things web), I'm
still a big fan of WML.

What I noticed though is that WML seemed to have not so much publicity
in that time. So during the last Linuxtag at Karlsruhe, Werner Heuser
and I decided to make a little publicity for WML, which in our eyes is
a "unknown pearl" in the Open Source world (wrongly of course :-).

I plan to and applied for helding talks about WML at the next Linuxtag
in Karlsruhe (http://www.linuxtag.org/, 22nd-225th of June 2005) and
at this year's Chemnitzer Linuxtage (http://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de/,
5th+6th of March 2005).

Both talks probably will be in German (the talk at Karlsruhe maybe in
English, if the organisors prefer it), but I think I'll post a link to
slides and paper here as soon as they are in a publicisable state
anyway. :-)

Oh, and thanks to Werner for giving me a boot to do this. ;-)

P.S.: I just remembered that I myself first heard of WML at a talk at
Linuxtag back in 99 talk about WML 1.x, which made me
      start using WML. (See
      http://www.lugg.de/pub/misc/linuxtag_1999/html/wml.html.
Unfortunately no more available on the Linuxtag website
      itself...)

P.P.S.: If anyone on the list will attend one of those events, I would
appreciate to meet you. Either after the talk or at the
	Symlink.ch booth.

		Regards, Axel
