Hi all! I recommenced working on the Web Meta Language core. See: http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/thewml/web-meta-lang/branches/maintenance/2.0.x/ What was done so far was: *) Patched the config/Makefile to delete the autom4te.cache directory. *) Applied patch from Mandriva's RPM .spec file to fix compilation under gcc4. *) Added many svn:ignore's to the directories to make svn status inside the working copy happy. Note that the Mandriva downstream patch requires testing with older compilers than gcc4. So if you don't have gcc-4.x yet, please checkout the sources and see if they compile. It is possible that an #ifdef is in order. If everything's working, I'll package wml and release wml-2.0.10 and announce it on Freshmeat. Next I'll start a development version in which what I plan to do was outlined in my previous E-mail. At first I'll use snapshots of my site at home or elsewhere as integration tests. (If you can contribute some inputs and outputs of your own, they will be appreciated). Then I'll convert the build system to SCons, and then get it to compile on Win32 first using cygwin and then using MSVC. I think it would be a good idea to release a new version of WML at this point, but there may be other issues I've been missing. It is possible we'd like to clean the source out of integrated dependencies, as they are now available on CPAN, or in separate and more up-to-date packages. That would be WML-2.2.0. I'm switching to a Linux kernel-like version numbering where 2.1.x is, 2.3.x, 2.5.x, etc. is development and even second digits are for stable versions.
