You may have misunderstood. I'm not talking about the offline ePerl pass that is part of WML. This works fine on all systems I tried (at least if I'm using the latest Subversion version). What doesn't work fine is this: http://www.ossp.org/pkg/tool/eperl/ This is a server-side ePerl backend. While it builds fine there, it is used extensively on http://thewml.org/ and I could not get it to run properly there no matter what I tried. Pages like this seemed to break: http://thewml.org/news/changelog.phtml However, now after I removed various leftover files from /tmp, it seems to work perfectly. I didn't do anything to fix the problem, but maybe Ralf or someone else did. Whoever did it - thanks. Now we can release the version on http://thewml.org/.
