Unfortunately, it is based around bibtex, which I have some strong opinions about (horrible data model!). I've written to the author to suggest he generalize it more, and support xml import/export. In any case, it'd be great to be able to just click the relevant bibliographic entries and have the reading list auto-generated. >> - events (due dates for assignments, exams, etc.) > > again - that's a difference in how institution does it's business - we > don't > have standard dates and times - student can enroll into course in the > middle > of the month and complete it on his/her own schedule - so this kind of > feature makes no sence for us. Still, for 99% of course syllabi out there, the features I mentioned are essential. > I hope I gave you some ideas on why and what is done in CMFSyllabus. > You might > want to look in TODO to get some rough idea on what is scheduled to be > done > (tip: LOTS :) ). Yes indeed. On how to handle the "course team", think of how you'd handle a team-taught course with teaching assistants. > If you're comfortable with Python/ZPT... Unfortunately, I can't code anything but XSLT. I have it on my TODO list to learn a language like Python, but that's going to take me some time, particularly given I have a book to write as well ;-) Still, if I find places where I can contribute, I'll let you know...
