CPSLuceneCatalog and Solr

Hello

Anybody has tried to use CPSLuceneCatalog with a Lucene server other
than NXLucene ?

I'm thinking to use it with Solr.   It seems that CPSLuceneCatalog
uses XML-RPC to call NXLucene, so seems it could work
