Zope does not start after the install of Hotfix-20060705. Here is the trace:

 ./runzope

Here is how to reproduce the bug:
 cd ~/temp
 tar xvfz ../sources/Zope-2.7.6-final.tgz
 cd Zope-2.7.6-final/
 ./configure --prefix=/home/user/temp/myzope/binary
 make
 make install
 ~/temp/myzope/binary/bin/mkzopeinstance.py -d ~/temp/myzope/var/itest -u zope:zope
 #Install 2005-10-09 hotfix

 cd ~/temp/myzope/binary/lib/python/
 tar xvfz ~/Hotfix_2005-10-09.tar.gz
#If I run ./runzope now, all is fine

 #Now install the Hotfix-20060705:
 cd ~/temp/myzope/var/itest/Products
 tar xvfz ~/Hotfix_20060705.tar.gz

#Running ./runzope now produces the trace shown above. Removing Hotfix_20060705 fixes the problem.

Comments:
I have to keep the distributor's python, so I cannot upgrade to a newer zope version (they require a newer than 2.3.4 python)
