Thank you! I hadn't realized that the bit doing the checkouts was in the same package, or I would have added that myself. BTW, I made another change today to the checker script to avoid generating spurious failures for packages which have 'setup_requires'. I also went back through and finished the cleanups I had started, including branches and adding generated-but-overlooked files. I expect to see the list of flagged projects drop significantly on the next run.
