I'm generally in favor of shrinking the ZTK, but just for discussion's
sake: emulating 'cmp' for objects which have rich comparison semantics
isn't that difficult::
def _faux_cmp(lhs, rhs):
return int(rhs < lhs) - int(lhs < rhs)
