Zope 2.6.x / python2.1.3 still supported?

Hi,

 I wanted to run the unit tests with the CVS HEAD under 
Zope 2.6.1 / python 2.1.3 but figured out that this is not possible,
as the CVS head seems to require python 2.3.4 (or at least some python
version more recent than 2.1.3).

 Is the above Zope/python combination still supported? Or has there been
a decision that they should go the way of the dinosaurs?

 Not that I would be really set up by the latter, but some "official"
announcement would be nice (or have I just missed it?)
